Blue Creek Cave

Tour Description:

Hokeb Ha, commonly known as Blue Creek Cave, is one of Belize’s most stunning cave systems. Its surrounding tropical broadleaf rainforest also makes it home to a variety of flora and fauna species. On this tour to the caves, you’ll be hiking alongside cascading waterfalls, pools and rapids and have the chance to see a variety of wildlife.

The morning starts with a 2 hour drive south through Belize’s countryside to Blue Creek Village, located in the Toledo District. Once arriving, we’ll hike 45 minutes through the rainforest and limestone bedrocks to get to the first part of the tour, the dry cave. While in the dry cave, you’ll learn about the cave’s history, structure, and the flora & fauna within. (Note: The dry cave will require crawling through tight spots to get to the more open main chambers, this part is optional.)

After the dry cave, we’ll hike a loop to the main entrance of the cave where you’ll have the opportunity to explore and swim inside the cave and enjoy the large pools of water, crystal cascading falls and cave structures. Afterward, we’ll hike back to Blue Creek Village to enjoy lunch and then make the journey back to Placencia.
