Monkey River 

Tour Description:

Join us on one of the most scenic tours found in the area only 15 miles south from Placencia. This tour starts with a 40 mins boat ride to Monkey River village. Once arriving at the village you’ll be going up the river (approximately 1 mile) as you cruise you’ll have the opportunity to gaze your eyes on a variety of birds, iguanas, crocodiles and last but not least howler monkeys. If you’re really lucky maybe a tapir or jaguar.

In Addition you get to do a short hike through the jungle where your guide teaches you more of the flora and fauna found in the area. Lastly you stop off in Monkey River village to have a local lunch before riding back to Placencia.
